Global Key Account Manager

Are you an experienced Accountmanager with international ambitions? Then this is your chance! At Royal Ahrend, we are looking for a Global Key Account Manager who will serve our key international customers, as well as establish and manage new business relationships.

Your role

As Global Key Account Manager you will actively manage existing and acquire new global customers in order to expand Royal Ahrend’s global position. The aim is to increase customer satisfaction, Ahrend's market share and to increase margins. The Global Key Account Manager maintains and expands contacts with the customer's DMU's on a strategic and tactical level.

In your role you will have an active focus on influencers in the Architects & Design Community, Project Management and Design & Build Community, while being accountable, responsible and authorised for the relationship, sales, margin and global projects. You will also prepare, implement and monitor the progress of the multi-year plans for your Global Accounts.

Core responsibilities:

  • Advising and selling the Royal Ahrend range, focusing on own products within the organization.
  • Actively establish and maintain an international network, including architects and influencers.
  • Acquiring new international customers (prospects).
  • Keeping abreast of assortment, market and customer developments and translating them into advice and actions to increase the return.
  • Being and staying informed of the legislation and different cultures of countries where one is active.
  • Performing after-sales with the aim of maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise interior design projects and processes.
  • Educating and advising international architects and influencers on the sales process.
  • Annually drafting a key account plan explaining the market potential of existing and new customers, actions, planning and budget.

What is your profile?

  • At least 5 years of experience in international account management in a B-to-B environment with proven long-term results;
  • A strategic and sales driven attitude with strong negotiating skills and familiar with challenging objectives and changing business conditions;
  • Experience with complex international decision making- and procurement processes;
  • Preferably an up-to-date network of influencers in the field of Facility, Procurement and Real Estate;
  • Additional training / courses in the field of facility management, real estate and / or marketing are an advantage;
  • You are based in the Netherlands, preferably Amsterdam;
  • Prepared to travel for 25% of the time;
  • Excellent communication and language skills in English, both oral and written. Dutch French, Spanish are a plus;
