Your role

As HR Manager at Ahrend in Prague, you will be the main point of contact for all HR-related matters, including people, processes and policies. You will oversee the full scope of HR, from workforce planning and policy development to personnel and payroll administration. You work closely with local management, the international HR team and external stakeholders such as legal advisors, public authorities, payroll providers and our external salary administrator.
You translate HR policies into daily practice and bring structure and clarity to a dynamic working environment. You analyse HR data, manage budgets and ensure timely reporting. At the same time, you ensure all personnel changes, benefits and compensation matters are handled with accuracy and in line with both legal and internal guidelines.
You lead a small team of 2 FTE, including receptionists and a recruitment specialist, and you actively contribute to onboarding, employee feedback, medical check-ups, EXI surveys and internal communication. From strategic HR advising to arranging access cards, this is a hands-on role where your work makes a real and visible impact. You operate on both a strategic and operational level and play an important role in the success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and benefit programs;
  • Advise management on workforce planning, job changes, compensation and strategic HR topics;
  • Process personnel changes, employment contracts, salary updates and benefit plans in coordination with the external payroll provider;
  • Manage HR data, time registration, pension and reimbursement schemes;
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, audits and HR-related events;
  • Prepare internal reports and official submissions to external institutions;
  • Support employees with HR-related questions and guidance;
  • Identify improvement opportunities in HR processes and ensure compliance with labour law, internal policies and ESG standards.

Our offer

We offer a professional and inspiring workplace, with timeless and sustainable Dutch Design office furniture. This is a challenging role with plenty of space for initiative, growth and personal development, available on a full-time or part-time basis.
You can also count on:

  • A dynamic company culture that values quality, personal responsibility and entrepreneurship;
  • Opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to the company’s success;
  • Competitive salary, performance-based bonus scheme, and 25 days of paid holiday;
  • Multisport card with access to fitness and wellness facilities;
  • Pension contribution;
  • Company canteen offering healthy and varied meals;
  • A company laptop and mobile phone.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR professional who can connect strategic thinking with practical execution. You have a strong understanding of organisational development, know how to position HR within a management team, and are confident taking ownership in an international setting. Furthermore we look for:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR Management, Human Resources or Organisation Studies;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or HR Manager;
  • Experience with personnel administration, payroll processing and benefit programs;
  • Knowledge of labour law, absence management, job evaluation and change processes;
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills, with experience using Excel and HR systems;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Czech and English;
  • A proactive, flexible and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt your style to various stakeholders.
